For after-bell classes, students will register via CourseStorm on a first-come-first-served basis. Registration opens for each grade level on different dates (12 graders, 11 graders, and 10 &amp; 9 graders). Students receive instant confirmation regarding their registration status, enrolled or waitlisted. They also receive reminders about when their course starts and important class information. Registration is open until the class begins or the waitlist is full.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><b>High School Registration Policies<\/b><\/h2>\n<h4><b><\/b><\/h4>\n<h4><b><\/b><\/h4>\n<h4><b>Adding Students<\/b><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Students can enroll using CourseStorm until the day before the class begins. On or after the start date of the class, students should be sent as \u201cwalk-ins\u201d and must complete the Google form using the QR code provided by their teacher.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For classes that meet once a week, students may add up to the second class meeting.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For classes that meet two or more times per week, students may add up to the third class meeting<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4><b><\/b><\/h4>\n<h4><b>Dropping Students<\/b><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If the student is under the age of 18, the parent\/guardian holds the educational rights of that student. Therefore, the student is unable to drop a class without the parent\u2019s permission. This is consistent with the procedures of our partner districts. If you have a student that notifies you that they would like to drop your class, please inform them that their parent needs to send the request to you or to the office.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Before class starts: Parents\/Guardians or a student who is 18 years or older will email info@coastlinerop.org to be dropped from a course before the start date.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">After class starts: Parents\/Guardians or a student who is 18 years or older will email info@coastlinerop.org to be dropped from a course after the start date. Student services will inform the teacher, career specialist, and student information specialist. The student information specialist will remove the student from the roster and a PNL will be sent out.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Students have until the 7th week to drop a course with no grade penalty.\u00a0 After the 7th week, a W\/F will be reported to their home school. Students enrolled in accelerated courses have until 40% of the class to drop without a W\/F being reported to their home school.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4><b><\/b><\/h4>\n<h4><b>Maximum Semesters and Credits<\/b><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span>Coastline ROP students can earn both high school credit and, in many cases, UC a-g credit for their CTE courses. To help students, parents, and counselors plan effectively, we\u2019ve outlined the maximum semesters allowed and credits earned for each course.
