In this comprehensive program, you will learn the skills and knowledge necessary to become a certified EMT and make a real difference in your community.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Course Description<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Our EMT program is designed to prepare students to become certified Emergency Medical Technicians. Throughout the course, students will learn how to provide emergency medical care to patients in a variety of situations, including trauma, cardiac arrest, and respiratory distress. The program covers topics such as patient assessment, airway management, basic and advanced life support techniques, pharmacology, and ambulance operations. Students will also participate in hands-on training and clinical rotations in emergency departments, ambulance services, and other healthcare settings. Upon completion of the program, students will be eligible to take the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) certification exam.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_tab][et_pb_tab title=&#8221;Outcomes&#8221; _builder_version=&#8221;4.21.0&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221; theme_builder_area=&#8221;post_content&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p>Overall employment of EMTs and paramedics is projected to grow 7 percent from 2021 to 2031, about as fast as the average for all occupations. About 20,000 openings for EMTs and paramedics are projected each year, on average, over the decade. Many of those openings are expected to result from the need to replace workers who transfer to different occupations or exit the labor force, such as to retire. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bls.gov\/ooh\/healthcare\/emts-and-paramedics.htm\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics for EMTs and Paramedics<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n<p>EMTs are in high demand across the country, with 37,400 new jobs expected to be established by 2026, a 15% increase. EMTs make a minimum of $20,654 a year and a maximum of $58,522 a year in California. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.usworkforce.org\/how-much-do-emts-make-in-california\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">US Workforce: How Much Do EMTs Make in California in 2023?<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_tab][et_pb_tab title=&#8221;Requirements&#8221; _builder_version=&#8221;4.21.0&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221; theme_builder_area=&#8221;post_content&#8221;]<\/p>\n<h2><b>Requirements<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Proof of valid American Heart Association Healthcare Provider CPR card on the first day of class. College-level medical terminology, along with anatomy and physiology, are recommended but not required prior to the start of class. Students must be 18 years old prior to the completion of the course.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>Training<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Attendance is mandatory as this class has a minimum hours attendance requirement per the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians as well as the Orange County Emergency Medical Services Agency. Students will have a total of two (2) absences that may be used for illnesses or emergencies.
